I shared this off the shoulder sweater last week on Instagram, but the skirt wasn’t working out for me. I’m going to find a replacement this weekend, but I just couldn’t wait to style this trendy take on a classic. I mean it’s pretty classic black + white. Literally. I’m not usually one to go with a classic pairing, but I just couldn’t help myself with this simple, chic look.

This sweater is so dreamy and such a staple for fall and winter. H&M is probably my favorite spot to stock up on sweaters, it always has been. So I knew this buttery soft babe wouldn’t let me down. It runs true to size and I’m wearing an XL. The only thing to take into consideration is sizing up if you have broad shoulders. I probably should of sized up, but it sits well on my shoulders, so it’s a keeper. It would also be super cute if you went up a couple sizes and wear with leggings. If you’re worried about being able to size up, don’t. It comes in straight and plus sizes. So everyone can rock a pretty black + white combo.
These are some of my all-time favorite jeans. They’re the perfect denim for a classic black + white combo look. I shared them with y’all a long time ago, but when fall hits, I reach for them so much more. They hug your curves in every elicious way and I love the cut. The cropped flare is so fun and short enough to wear booties without looking like capris. My exact style is on major sale, so most sizes are gone, but I’m linking them below and several others that are the same curvy-approved cut.
I’m sharing some of my favorite black + white pieces below just in case you’re like me and don’t have any classic pieces in your closet. Or if you’re a classic queen, you probably could toss that 5 year old sweater and upgrade.
