our stay at Pelican Grand Beach Resort

It’s been such a long time since I’ve sat down and written a blog post. I missed this. And I had to break the post hiatus because I can’t explain Pelican Grand Beach Resort in an Instagram caption. That place deserves a post for sure. So let’s get into it.

If you missed it on Instagram, Jackson and I took a trip to Fort Lauderdale and stayed at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort for 4 days. Let me tell you, it was 4 days of pure beach heaven. Without leaving the country, you can get that high quality, quiet beach vacation and never even have to leave the property. There’s a bar, pool, two restaurants, an ice cream shop, games, live music, and a stunning private beach steps away. Let me break it down and show you our favorite parts of the trip.

the room

Our recently remodeled room was super spacious, comfortable, and we loved the separate sitting area. There was lots of room to spread out and the balcony view was unreal. You don’t have to leave the property, but we liked exploring and the location is perfect for that. 15 minutes from the airport and never more than 10 minutes away from our dinner reservations. Plus, we walked up and down the street/beach and it’s a really safe and quaint area. I love that it’s not a super touristy area and everyone was super friendly.

the property

When I say steps from the beach, I’m not lying. I’ve stayed at oceanfront properties before, but nothing like this resort. You’re a staircase away from a private beach and we couldn’t get enough. Your stay comes with complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, which we loved! The pool area is gorgeous too and perfect for families. Pelican Grand Beach Resort has the only lazy river in Fort Lauderdale and the resort always had different activities or events happening in that area!

the food

Okay, I could literally go back just to eat the food again. I’m not kidding, Jackson and I loved every single thing we ate at the resort. So there’s a nice restaurant on the property called OCEAN2000 where we ate dinner one night, but it’s also where we ate breakfast everyday. First off, you can sit outside and get the gorgeous ocean views and the service was unreal. Breakfast was amazing everyday and just the perfect way to start the day. If you saw my Instagram stories, you know I loved the pina coladas from the bar and you could even order lunch at the bar and have it delivered to you at the beach! There’s also an ice cream shop on the Pelican Grand Beach Resort property and it was 10/10.

We’re still not over it and will definitely be going back! Promise I won’t stay away from blog posts for too long now. Love y’all!

Caitlin
