Okay, I’m skipping all the hoopla and getting right down to it. I tried on dozens of pieces today to share my absolute favorites from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’m breaking it down by category, sharing highlights from each item, and letting you know what I brought home with me. Buckle up, it’s good.
shoes// Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
white Steve Madden booties // originally: $120 sale: $80
Wearing my true size, 9.5 in these. Love the retro vibes and curved chunky heel. They also come in a dark blue, cognac, and black. I have last years version of these booties and they’re my favorites. If you’re looking for something sleek, these are it.
knee high Sam Edelman boots// originally: $250 now: $150
These came home with me. Wearing my true size and love the cognac color. Also has a unique heel and square toe that’s super trendy. They are a little snug on my calves, but will stretch. If you wear wide calf, they probably won’t fit.
pointed toe Marc Fisher booties// originally: $190 now: $100
These are my favorite booties of the whole sale. Marc Fisher is always a really good brand and I love the slight stretch built into the side of these. They come in this cloudy gray suede color, plus several more. I’ve got my eye on the white for next payday!
snake Sam Edelman mules// originally: $130 now: $75
I can never resist a pair of Sam Edelman mules and these are no different. These are super chic and I love the chain detail. They also come in white and black. Wearing my true size, 9.5.

floral Madewell dress// originally: $128 now: $80
I was seriously hoping this dress would work out because the print is so dreamy. I’m wearing my true size, 18 and it wouldn’t zip an inch. So, I would recommend sizing up one or two sizes. It does go up to size 24, so I might order it and try a bigger size. The shoulder tie and faux button up detail are dreamy.

Going into this try on, I KNEW I wanted this dress, but after trying it on, I think I could get something similar at H&M. It made me realize that personally, I’m going to stick to staple pieces during the sale. It’s still super cute and flattering. I’m wearing an XL, but would recommend sizing up.
jackets + cardigans// Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
camo Caslon soft blazer// originally: $69 now: $40
This blazer was definitely an unexpected favorite of the try on. It’s the perfect in between of dressy and casual. I love it styled over leggings and an oversized tee, but could also see someone styling it with black jeans and a graphic tee. I’m wearing an XL and it fit perfectly.
suede moto jacket// originally: $118 now: $77
This jacket has so many stunning details, it’s unreal. I love the quilted sections on the arms, the warm toffee color, and the lining is satin. Can you tell I love it? The ONLY issue, it only goes up to an XL and it was a little snug on me. Also comes in black, burgundy, green, and blue.
open stitch BP. cardigan// originally: $49 now: $32
If you love a long cardigan for fall, add this to your cart. Besides being a great price, I love how this cardigan fits without being too slouchy. It comes in plus sizes and I’m wearing a 1X for a more oversized fit. Comes in several other neutral colors too.
tops + sweaters// Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
free people tunic// originally: $70 now: $40
This tunic top is currently sold out, but if you have it on your wishlist, turn on alerts to be notified when it’s back in stock! It was clearly meant to be because it was the only one left and size XL. I live in Free People tops like these during the fall/winter, so I snagged it. I’m wearing it with the Zella leggings, but you can style this top so many ways.
faux wrap ballon sleeve sweater// originally: $59 now: $29
This faux wrap sweater is over 50% off and I didn’t think I would love it so much. I love the faux wrap detail, but those sleeves are dreamy. The quality is amazing and it’s definitely a thicker knit. This piece is definitely a winner from this try on session. Also comes in white and tan.
faux wrap sweater// originally: $49 now: $29
This is the perfect lightweight sweater. I wasn’t sure the one above would fit, so I grabbed this light blue one. They have a similar cut, but this one is less sweater, more top. I also love the light blue color. It’s just really flattering and a definite winner. I’m wearing size XXL and it fit perfectly.
animal print sweater// originally: $59 now: $35
The print is perfection on this sweater. I also love how it’s an oversized fit, but not too baggy. I didn’t love that it’s acrylic, but it wasn’t itchy! Wearing an XL, so I’d suggest getting your true size.
lace detail blouse// originally: $45 now: $25
Okay, this blouse is STUNNING. I am seriously so obsessed and kicking myself for not snagging it in store today. It’s currently sold out online in white, but comes in pink and a pretty, deep red too. The details are just so good and it’s girly, yet classic. I’m wearing an XXL.
bottoms + loungewear // Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
exposed button jeans// originally: $90 now: $59
Forget the Good American, Kut from the Kloth has always been my favorite and they proved it again. These jeans are SO good. I love the little tiny spots of distressing, the raw hem, and the medium wash. Plus, it makes the booty look 10/10. I’m wearing an 18 and would get your true size.
zella live in leggings// originally: $59 now: $39
Okay, the hype is real. These leggings are so good. I love the 7/8 length, the true black color, and the fit is amazing. I’m wearing XXL and they fit perfectly.
tie dye lounge top// originally: $55 now: $25
tie dye joggers// originally: $55 now: $25
If this set is still available in your size, trust me and grab it! It’s selling out fast and I’m crossing my fingers that they restock it. It’s ultra soft and just so fun to wear together or separately. I’m wearing XL in both, but would prefer XXL for an oversized fit.

Okay, before you judge my tummy situation, know that I did NOT buy these in this size. I’m wearing size XL and because they’re fleece, they’re not very forgiving. So, I definitely need the XXL. However, I love the color and detail in both. There’s also a matching fleece short if you aren’t into the joggers.
barefoot dreams cardigan// originally: $114 now: $65
Another item that lives up to the hype, Barefoot Dreams. Yes, they’re as soft as everyone says. But not like a plush soft, they’re a dense, quality soft that you’ve never felt before. This cardigan is perfection and if you’re looking to splurge, snag this. I’m wearing size XL.
Okay, WE DID IT! We conquered the first wave of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Once payday comes *because I’m a regular joe too* I’m going to be ordering a couple things that I didn’t pick up today from this try on. I hope y’all loved these picks and find something to get you excited for fall.
