fave denim shorts: four ways

If you don’t follow me on Instagram or watch my lengthy stories that take place, Keeping It Caitlin is business as usual. I know, you’re probably disappointed I’m not turning this blog into 24 hour coverage of what’s going on. HA. I figured, there’s enough opinions and people covering the current events, so I’m going to leave my thoughts out of it and serve up some goodness because I think we all need it. Anyways, now that I’m done ranting, let’s talk SHORTS. More specifically, how I’m styling my fave denim shorts FOUR WAYS. And just some tidbits on why I love these $20 shorts.

Oh, and CLICK HERE to see my video try on. It’s worth watching.

Okay, before I chat about each outfit, I just need you o know a couple things about this pair of shorts. First off, they’re $20, so that right there should sell you. If you aren’t completely sold, they are a perfect length because the Daisy Duke days are long gone. Since they have a boyfriend fit, they aren’t tight at the bottom. I love the raw hem detail and they’re high waisted. I sized up to a 20, but really could of done my regular size.

This is basically my uniform when it gets warm outside. A comfy graphic tee, vans sneaks, and some good accessories. I found these sunglasses last night in my closet clean out and remembered how much I LOVE them. A little front tuck action with the denim shorts and you’re a little edgy, a little girly, and a whole lotta comfortable.

This is the perfect brunch or date night outfit for spring and summer nights. This blouse has been a HIT with y’all and it’s everything you need in a gorgeous blouse. It has puff sleeves, peplum waist, satin polka dots, and a snap for extra coverage on the chest. It’s so easy to wear and looks like dressy casual perfection with my favorite espadrilles. Add a little cork clutch and gold earrings and you’re set.

If you ever wondered what outfit is the most “me”, this is it. I felt like a bombshell in this look and I am not afraid to admit it. This polka dot top is $10 and was one of my finds from my latest H&M try on session. I tucked it into my denim shorts, added neutral wedges, and a colorful headband. You could easily swap out the wedges for sandals or sneakers for a more casual look too.

I wasn’t sure if I’d love these pieces put together, but it’s the perfect preppy, laid back combo. I’m wearing the white tank from my new basics post and the prettiest pink mules. Just added my favorite summer bag and chunky cardigan. Once it gets warmer, you can ditch the cardigan and look just as cute.

Okay, so now once you buy my favorite denim shorts, you have four outfit ideas to get you going. But I can guarantee you’ll be wearing them with just about anything.

Cheers,

Caitlin
