color of the year// at home

Is anyone else looking for home decor to freshen up their space? I feel like every year after the hustle of the holidays, I want a clean, fresh slate at home. And like clockwork, this year is no different. I’ve been adding things to all my carts and realized there’s something in common with everything I’m loving. BLUE. Which happens to be the Color of the Year. So, I’m breaking down the details of the 2020 Color of the Year and how you can add pops of it in each space of your casa.

The Color of the Year for 2020 is Classic Blue. But, I’ve been sprinkling around different shades of blue throughout our apartment. There’s no right way to decorate, but I have found myself leaning towards the Classic Blue color. It’s bold, yet neutral.

Okay so did you even know there’s a color of the year? Maybe you did, maybe you didn’t, but once you see what the color is, everything will make sense. Browse any home decor site and you’ll see this color pop up everywhere. Along with coordinating colors and other pops, this color has taken OVER. One of my favorite ways to add blue into our decor is through accessories. If you didn’t notice, I love a good ginger jar. I also love mixing patterns. By really balancing my neutral pieces with some statement pieces, I’ve really curated our living room space to include lots of Classic Blue.

Don’t worry, if you’re looking around and thinking “I don’t have a single blue piece” it’s okay! You don’t have to do a whole home makeover. You can just add in a pillow or two, a candle, or another small statement to pop the trendy color into your space.

Below, I’ve rounded up some really pretty, yet affordable pieces to add the Color of the Year into your home. From statement pieces, to bath mats, to wall art, I think I covered it all.

P.S. if you missed it, I found some really good home pieces in my January target haul.

Cheers,
