So, we’ve got BIG news. Big, exciting, nerve-wrecking, stressful, happy news. It’s been a wild past couple of weeks and I’ve always said I love change and I’m kinda eating my words now. But honestly, I’m more excited than anything because…….
WE’RE MOVING!
Woooo, it feels so good to get that off my chest. I am waaay to open about things to keep secrets, but I think I did a pretty good job with this big news. So, here’s the scoop on all the who, what, when, where, and why’s.
Basically, thank goodness my mom has about a million friends. One of her closest friends who is basically an aunt to me, thought of J when her husband had some open positions. I convinced J to give it a shot, and he really liked the opportunity. Fast forward a week and he drove up to meet the team in person.
p.s. it’s important to remember that the whole time I’m really trying to play it cool and not put too much pressure on J that basically all my hopes and dreams were riding on this haha.
Anyways, another week passes and he gets big news. HE GOT THE JOB. So, the next day (that’s why we went to Dallas on a whim) we went to find somewhere to live. Ya know, little details. We were going in blind because this is a new town for us, but by the end of the day we locked something down.
Oh, other big news. We’re going from a 3 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom apartment! Honestly, I’m excited for a clean slate and our apartment is gorgeous. That just means a lot of purging, but we have a lot of junk anyways. So this is good for us! We signed a short lease just so we can have somewhere to live (again, small details), but enough time to figure out where in this town we want to settle.
I guess I should share where we’re moving to! It basically fulfills all my small town dreams I’ve had since I moved to a small town for college. It’s such a family atmosphere, has the cutest downtown area, and isn’t too far from Dallas.

If you’re not from Texas, you’re probably really confused, so here’s a little map of where we’ll be. It’s honestly such a good spot to be. Small town, close to Dallas (where I’m from) and Fort Worth (where J is from), and close to our family and friends. We can’t wait.
It’s definitely been a crazy past couple of weeks and we don’t have it all figured out, but we’re getting it all together along the way. I’m so excited to finally share the big news with y’all.
p.s. I have been “joking” with J saying that when our lease is up in May, I’m moving back to Dallas with or without him, so I’m glad it worked out this way. Kidding, kinda.
