I don’t know about y’all, but when fall rolls around, I’m always looking for edgier pieces to mix into my wardrobe. And by edgier I mean something that isn’t leopard or floral. Y’all know I’m definitely not the baddest chick on the block by now! So, there’s one piece that I think is super versatile and everyone can pull off, the moto jacket. I’m sharing my fav way to style my moto jacket and my favorite picks whether you’re going classic moto or looking for a modern twist.
I know that a jacket is an obvious buy for fall, so I wanted to make the most of it and invest in something a little different than what I would normally wear. I snagged my moto jacket during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and it’s fully stocked still. It comes in light grey too, but I literally don’t have anything black in my closet so I thought it was about time. If you want my exact jacket, make sure you pay attention to the sizing and go off what size is in parenthesis. I’m wearing a 14 (fits like a 16). Also, the arms are a little snug, but it’s not super uncomfortable. I was also changing in the back of my car in the dead Houston heat, maybe that had something to do with it. (:
I love mixing the super girly pieces I already have with the edgy, modern moto jacket. In this outfit, it was perfect to take a summer dress that I wore to a wedding and add the jacket and booties to transition the look for fall.
You’ll get so much wear out of your moto jacket in the winter. Even better, you’ll wear it even more when you utilize those summer pieces that can be layered up for fall. If you have a lace cami you’ve been wearing with shorts this summer, consider styling it with a moto jacket and jeans. Even layering your favorite summer romper with a moto jacket and sneakers for fall.
Below, I broke down my favorite moto jacket finds by style. So, whether you’re wanting a classic look or full-on funky, you’re going to find your new fav piece. I’m also linking my outfit details below.
