After the crazy, fun, adventurous weekend J and I had, it feels so good to be home. We had the best time exploring St. Louis and I’m going to share all the details with y’all soon. But for now, I’m sharing my favorite under $20 tee that pulled together my city chic, casual look I wore to explore the city this past weekend.
the tee
I know this definitely isn’t a cutting edge look, but for a girl that’s usually in floral prints and flowy dresses, this is a step outside my usual looks. So it’s really just a girlie girl’s take on being a little edgy, but no matter your style you can take individual pieces from this city chic, casual look and make them your own.
If you’ve been around for a while, you might know that I have a couple holy grail brands that I can always count on for fit, price, and style. One of those is Socialite. From the saucy red jumpsuit to the leopard skirt that I still dream about, Socialite clothing never disappoints.
This leopard tee is just another reason I’m a Socialite fan. It’s so soft, the fit is amazing, and it’s under $20. The leopard print is sold out, but there’s about 10 other colors and patterns that comes in, so there’s something for everyone. I’m wearing an xl, so it runs true to size. It’s also not sheer at all, which has happened to me before with other tees.
the sneaks
The second trendy part about this city chic, casual look: white sneakers. Sneakers are so trendy right now, and I’m a fan. If I can look cute and stay comfortable, I’m in.
I have been looking for a perfect pair of white sneakers for a while because I didn’t want to spend a lot and I wanted them to be super simple. Then, I saw these $35 white sneaks and knew they were it. After wearing them around town, I’m officially obsessed and you need a pair before they sell out. They are comfortable, don’t rub on the back of your heels, and are simple, so they’ll go with anything. I’m going to be styling them with dresses soon, so be on the lookout for that.
To pull together my look, I added my new fav white statement earrings. They’re sold out online in white, but still available in black and pink. They’re lightweight and you can’t beat the price. My sunnies are soooo good and I’ve been wearing them constantly, along with my Amazon purse that I literally get endless compliments on. If you haven’t picked one up yet, I highly recommend you do.
