floral delight

Happy Good Friday, y’all. Honestly, any Friday is a good one, but today’s is extra special. I have the day off and I’m diving into all things Keeping It Caitlin and getting ready for a trip we have coming up! Most importantly, I’m finally sharing this floral delight with y’all.

You might remember that I originally shared this little number in my loft try on session. I tried on the size 14 and it fit, but I went ahead and ordered the 16 because I knew I’d be more comfortable in that. *again with the JLo booty probs.*

I’m even more obsessed with it now that I have it in the right size, and I shared this on my stories, but there is something about this floral delight that makes me feel extra pretty. I feel like it highlights all of my fav assets, while still being tasteful. It’s rare that I find that these days, but this one is a serious confidence booster.

I keep calling it a floral delight because it falls into a couple categories when you’re describing what it actually is. So, let me break it down. Underneath, it’s a romper. When you put it on, you step into the shorts and they zip from your upper thigh to your waist. Then, it’s a skort because the wrap front covers the shorts, but it’s not your typical skort. The wrap part covers your backside like a dress, so the shorts really just peek through a little in the front. For me, it was mainly when the wind blew. Literally. (:

So yeah, that’s why I’m calling it a floral delight because it’s floral, it’s darn delightful, and it’s a lot easier than saying a floral skort-romper-wrap dress.

My tie up sandals are really old, but I’m linking a super similar pair and a couple other shoe options that would be perfect with this piece. I dressed it up for more of a date night look, but online the model is wearing it with sneakers and I loooovee that idea too. I’ll probably style it like that for our upcoming trip! Some fun sneaks and a little denim jacket action, y’all know that’s my fav.
