Rodeo Ready

It’s officially rodeo season in Houston and I’m ready to get my hands on some fried oreos. #priorities. One of the best parts of rodeo season is getting rodeo ready. There are so many concerts and events during the rodeo, that make outfit planning so fun. So, I’m sharing 3 outfits that won’t break the bank, but will steal all the cowboy’s hearts.

Even if you won’t be making it to the Houston Rodeo, keep these looks in mind for your next country concert or honky tonk night out. In the end, these outfits are perfect for spring and summer if you just swap out the boots for sandals.

first look: bright and bold

How sweet is this fun outfit? I snagged this under $20 neon tank from ASOS a couple weeks ago and knew it would be perfect for a rodeo ready outfit. It’s a true bright coral color, but looks a little orange because of the edit. Plus, neon is one of the biggest trends right now and this is such an easy way to wear it!

I layered it under this black and white kimono. It’s the perfect flowy kimono with a floral print body and striped ruffle sleeves. The kimono is so good with this look, but is so versatile for outfits throughout the spring and summer.

My shorts are sold out from last summer, but I’m linking super similar options below. Also, if you’re in the market for some new cowboy boots, these are your winners. I’ve had them for 7 years and they only get better with age.

second look: wild west

Leopard, blush, and boots. Yes, yes, and yes. I snagged this leopard top and blush belt from Target and wore boots and jeans I already had. So I spent less than $50 on this outfit. I love that this leopard top is so sassy and totally rodeo ready. On a total opposite note, switch up the boots and jeans for a pencil skirt and you’ve got a really easy office outfit.

This blush and gold belt was the finishing touch to tie together this rodeo ready outfit. It’s the perfect mix of trendy and western. I’m wearing a xxl in it, so I would size up. Also, I wore slim boyfriend jeans because my skinny jeans were nowhere to be found, and I honestly like them just as much as my skinnies.

third look: sweet and southern

I may have saved my favorite for last. Obsessed is an understatement with rodeo ready outfit. I shared this under $50 top on my stories recently and knew this post was the perfect time to show it off. It’s definitely out of my comfort zone, but I think it’s so flattering on and I’m happy I ordered it.

It’s the sweetest lavender color and the smocked top and sleeves are super trendy. Not to mention, the sleeves are elastic at the shoulder so they won’t fall down.

Lastly, my skirt is on major sale and I love it. It’s going to be on repeat all spring and it’s so rodeo ready.

I hope this helps y’all navigate your rodeo ready outfits! Happy rodeo season y’all!
