weekend wonder

When I shared my purchases from the Nordstrom sale, I got so many comments on this dress. (Even when I was so nervous to show y’all what I looked like in it.) But as I’ve pulled this baby out of my closet more and more, I’ve come to feel like a total knockout in it. I also realized, everyone needs one. Or eleven, because yes, it comes in eleven colors. It is a closet staple and a true weekend wonder. It’s the piece that will take you from the work-day on Friday, to date night on Saturday, and the farmer’s market on Sunday. It’s seriously a weekend wonder.

Wear to Work

Cardigan. Dress. Super Similar Shoes. Bag

One thing I can’t get enough of is the length on this dress. Being tall and curvy means a regular dress on someone usually is more of a tunic on me. In this dress, I don’t have that problem and I love that it’s work appropriate with a light cardigan. It’s definitely a little tighter fitting than what I usually wear, but it’s ruched and doesn’t make you feel exposed. This is like the work appropriate, grown-up version of the slinky body-con’s we used to wear in college. Or was that just me?

Date Night

Clutch. Earrings. Dress. Similar Shoes.

I’m only an outfit repeater when it’s something really good. This dress is so good it goes from work to weekend with just a couple accessories. Whether it’s for after-work happy hour with the girls or a date night on Saturday, a statement earring, fun clutch, and wedges change the game. Usually, J and I count date night as Chipotle on the couch, but this makes me want to step up our date night usual. It’s coming with me on our Austin trip in a couple weeks because it’s a serious weekend wonder.

Farmer’s Market

Clutch. Bracelets. Earrings. Dress. Sandals

Oh hey, sweet little casual get-up. This is basically where my personal style lives. What about y’all? It’s so easy to throw this dress on without worry because that ruching detail flatters no matter if you’ve got a little food baby. Nobody judges you even if you do, girl. I put this on with my favorite, comfortable, nude sandals that I would seriously recommend for summer, and really every season. Hair in a pony and some colorful, yet easy accessories and take me to the farmer’s market for some fresh flowers.

Basically, this dress takes you through the whole weekend. Start to finish, no matter the occasion, this weekend wonder is your new summer favorite. Trust me.

cheers,

caitlin
