retail therapy + a new dress

I’ll be the first to testify, retail therapy is real. I’ve noticed in the past when there’s a big life event or maybe a bad experience, I find myself in a mall or boutique. This past weekend was no different, and I found a cutie new dress and some adorable summer sandals. So, I’m sharing the details with y’all and I kept it under $75.

Let me tell y’all, there is slim pickings when it comes to shopping choices when you’re in a small West Texas town, but don’t worry, I always find a way. So, when I needed a different outfit for an event I went to Beall’s, now called Stage. If you aren’t from the South, you’ve probably never heard of it, but I don’t even usually shop there. It’s kinda like a more inexpensive Belk, if that helps explain it. Turns out, it was the perfect spot for some good old retail therapy.

I was looking for a bright and happy new dress for a not so bright and happy occasion and this was the winner. It’s kinda Free People inspired, but definitely a little boho and a lot flowy. Basically everything I love. It runs true to size and is so comfortable with chiffon fabric, which is perfect for summer. I love the patchwork print that you can dress up or down.

And can we take a moment for these adorable summer sandals? Let’s take another moment for the price tag. They’re under $30. Yes, you read it right. They are such a fun addition to this outfit. I was able to keep my jewelry super simple because of these bad boys. You can wear them with so much and they are great quality for the price. You’ll love them.

Sooooo cutie.

Basically, never be afraid to give in to that retail therapy session. You never know what you’ll stumble upon.

cheers,

caitlin
