cinco outfit mamacita.

There’s a holiday Texans love to celebrate probably more than the natives themselves, good old Cinco de Mayo. Maybe it’s the extra excuse to enjoy tacos and tequila or the celebratory chips and queso. Either way, I’ve always loved Cinco de Mayo and dressing for it is even better. So, I’m sharing my favorite Cinco outfit with y’all just in time for this weekend!

There’s a couple key ingredients to the perfect Cinco outfit and the first is color. You need all the bright, pretty, happy colors you can find. Anything fun and festive for this holiday includes all the best summer colors and is a serious statement maker.

I can’t get enough of the top I’m wearing and I’ve had it for a couple years now. I actually bought it when J and I were on vacation in San Antonio. J thought I was crazy, but I couldn’t leave the little market without it. Now it’s one of his favorite things I wear.

I wish I could take y’all back to the market in San Antonio, but a couple links will have to do. Here is a traditional top and dress, similar to mine.

Also, one of my favorite brands has some perfect Cinco outfits. I’m linking my favorites here and here. They always nail the fresh and so so pretty look. Remember this dress, yeah same brand. Same obsession.

If you aren’t feeling the more “traditional trendy” look, go graphic. Graphic tees always save the day when I want to look adorable, but casual. And you’re in luck because I found three perfect graphic tees for your Cinco outfit. Here, here, and here. The best part is none of these scream “Cinco”, so you can wear them for whatever shenanigans your heart desires.

Here are similar shorts and my under $25 shoes, too.

So basically, bright colors, add tequila, some queso, and maybe even a sombrero and you’ve got the best Cinco outfit and atmosphere, mamacita.

cheers,

caitlin
