our first nyc trip.

I have been so excited to share all the details of our NYC trip with y’all. Since we didn’t leave Texas for our honeymoon, this was J and I’s first big trip together, ever. Definitely a good test of our relationship, but I think we passed, and we had so much fun.

All in under 48 hours.

First, we went to Brooklyn and this little spot just around the bridge was a perfect Insta moment.

Then we went to Chelsea Market and the Highline Park. I am obsessed with both of these places. Highline is so cool and an amazing picture-taking spot. Chelsea Market is just so New York and the amazing Anthropologie attached didn’t hurt.

*notice my GQ model of a husband.

pro tip: Go to Chelsea Market on an empty stomach. That place is crawllinggggg with deliciousness.

Then we took the subway back to the hotel and walked around Rockefeller Center and Times Square. It was such a bucket list moment to be there during Christmas time. It was J’s first time ever to be in NYC so we were both basically in heaven the whole time.

pro tip: Download the maps of the subway so you don’t walk around Grand Central Station like an idiot for 40 minutes trying to understand life. Just trust me on that.

That night we saw the Rockette’s Christmas Spectacular, and all my childhood (and adult) dreams came true. You can’t even describe the perfection of Radio City Music Hall and the show itself. So freaking magical.

pro tip: They have buckets of warm cookies that you can buy. Buy them. They also have hot cocoa with Bailey’s. Buy that too.

Saturday we started off the day at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. It was so humbling and I would recommend it to anyone.

pro tip: Buy the tickets for the museum to get the full experience. It’s totally worth it. Also, go to Blue Bottle Coffee shop that is just around the corner from the memorial. They have the most amazing avocado toast that I am still craving.

Then we went to the Louis Vuitton pop-up exhibit. It was SO amazing and it’s only there for a limited time. It was everything from runway gowns to the very first trunks that Louis Vuitton hand-crafted. Even J got into it.

pro tip: Buy the Louis Vuitton city guide that’s exclusive to the exhibit as a souvenir.

We ended the day with a trip to the flagship Tiffany store where J surprised me with my Christmas present. Magical.

top trip tip: We booked our hotel through Priceline Express deals and it’s a great way to save money. You’re guaranteed a certain quality hotel and you pay a lot less to get a “surprise”.

enjoy,
